Delphine Biscaye – The Organisational Backbone of Formula Racing
From Engineering Graduate to F1 Academy General Manager, Driving the Development, Logistics, and Global Expansion of Women’s Motorsport

Behind every successful racing driver and every championship-winning team, there are leaders who manage the complex logistics, operations, and coordination that make the show possible. Delphine Biscaye is one of those exceptional professionals. With more than a decade of experience in the high-pressure world of international motorsport, she has quietly built a reputation as one of the most capable and respected managers in the paddock — and now stands at the forefront of Formula 1’s movement to advance women’s racing.
A graduate of ESTACA, one of France’s top engineering schools specialising in aerospace and automotive technology, Delphine began her career not behind a steering wheel, but behind the scenes — turning her love for motorsport into a technical and organisational craft. Early in her career, she joined DAMS, a French racing team with a legacy of excellence in junior formulas. Her work there revolved around team coordination, logistics, and engineering support, ensuring that every race weekend ran seamlessly. Her calm demeanour, precision, and ability to manage crises made her indispensable in a world where timing, accuracy, and adaptability determine success.
Over the years, Delphine climbed the ranks within DAMS, evolving from Team Coordinator to Team Manager. Her responsibilities grew from overseeing travel plans and race-weekend logistics to managing technical teams and liaising with series organisers. She played a key role in guiding DAMS through championships like GP2 (now Formula 2), where the team achieved multiple titles and developed several drivers who later advanced to Formula 1. Known for her strategic mindset and sharp operational oversight, Delphine developed a leadership style built on collaboration, empathy, and discipline — qualities that made her stand out in a male-dominated environment.
In 2023, Delphine took a major career step when she joined the newly launched F1 Academy, an all-female single-seater championship founded to identify and develop young female racing talent. Appointed General Manager, she became responsible for the day-to-day management of the series: coordinating logistics, ensuring sporting fairness, managing budgets, and working closely with the Managing Director, Susie Wolff. Together, they form a powerful leadership duo driving the growth of women’s motorsport on a global scale.
Her role requires both technical understanding and managerial finesse — from overseeing car preparation and event organisation to building partnerships with circuits, teams, and sponsors. Under her supervision, the F1 Academy has expanded to include races as part of the Formula 1 Grand Prix calendar, offering unprecedented exposure for female drivers and teams.
Today, Delphine Biscaye stands as one of the most influential women in motorsport management. She represents the bridge between the technical and human sides of racing — ensuring that every event runs to perfection while nurturing the growth of future champions. Her leadership embodies the new era of inclusivity and professionalism within the sport, proving that excellence in motorsport doesn’t only belong behind the wheel, but also in the command room that makes it all happen.
